Brief about the course

Structural engineering related design is becoming increasingly complex as the Indian standard codes are gradually migrating towards the global design practices. it is utmost important for the engineer to know limitations of the software and overall methodology adopted towards compliance of different clauses of the codes. With this objective, this course is specifically designed for the students & working professionals considering that they do not have any prior exposure to ETABS software.

In basic training module, modelling, analysis and design for RCC structure is considered. The basic functions of ETABS will be covered in the training program. It will include geometry generation, placement of columns & beams, modelling of slab, along with the design of different elements.

Along with the software training, we will also discuss briefly important clauses of IS codes wherein generally the practicing engineers are facing difficulties. In the online course, we will discuss the study models to understand the working methodology of the software.

We will also discuss the methodology for verification of the results as well as for validation of the software.
